What does it mean to be “King of” a genre? For this Viaplay campaign, we set out to explore just that – directing a series of mock-trailers that crowned Viaplay as the reigning champion across drama, thriller, comedy, and more.
 

Each film was crafted as a love letter to its genre, complete with all the visual tropes, moods, and storytelling cues you’d expect from a big-screen trailer – but with a tongue-in-cheek twist. The result? A collection of cinematic spots that both celebrate and playfully parody the formats we all know and love.


Our role was to shape the creative direction and bring these miniature “movies” to life – from the tension-building cuts of King of Thriller to the heartfelt tones of King of Drama. Together, they position Viaplay as not just a streaming service, but the true king of stories.
